Disney Auctions Offers Atlantis Art

DisneyAuctions.com offers an original hand-painted cel from the upcoming Atlantis: The Lost Empire being offered at www.disneyauctions.com.   The cel features Milo, the film's hero, as he charts the final stretch to the underwater world of Atlantis while the crew rests around a campfire after the perilous start to their adventure-filled journey. The cel set-up features 26 ink and 92 paint colors, all hand-done by Disney Ink & Paint artists at the Studio Lot in Burbank, California. This piece of cel art is estimated in value between $10,000 - $15,000. 

In addition to this unique cel, maquettes of the nine main characters from the animated adventure will also be auctioned.  They are the only maquettes from the film to be offered for sale by Walt Disney Feature Animation. 

These items will be up for bid from June 11-18, 2001 at www.disneyauctions.com.
