Disney Online Holds No. 1 Position for Kids and Family Online Entertainment, According to Latest Media Metrix Survey
Disney Online, part of the Walt Disney Internet Group and creator of the No. 1 entertainment destination online for kids and families (www.disney.com), continues to hold its worldwide leadership position in kids and family online entertainment, generating 8.2 million unique users in May 2001, a 13 percent increase from April 2001, and a 26 percent increase from a year ago (May 2000), according to the May 2001 Media Metrix survey.
"With more and more families going online together for education and entertainment, Disney Online has strived to deliver engaging, imaginative content that appeals to parents and kids alike," said Ken Goldstein, executive vice president and managing director of Disney Online.
"Family-oriented sites are fast becoming a most powerful medium for reaching today's Web-wise family -- particularly with moms, who are using the Internet more and more with their families in mind."
