Harry Dolman Promoted To Executive Vice President, Global Hardlines, Disney Consumer Products
Harry Dolman has been promoted to executive vice president, global hardlines, for Disney Consumer Products (DCP), it was announced today by Andy Mooney, president, Disney Consumer Products Worldwide. Dolman previously served as senior vice president, global hardlines, for the division.
Dolman, a ten-year Disney executive, will continue to lead DCP's global hardlines team, across five regions and five product categories, including food, personal care, home furnishings, stationery and art/collectibles. His accomplishments include redefining DCP's business from a licensor model to a branded consumer product based approach whereby the hardlines team is actively involved in product development, execution and marketing, working in concert with the world's most trusted brands.
"Harry has been instrumental in the reorganization and growth of our hardlines business," said Mooney. "Under his leadership, Disney Consumer Products has secured long-term, global agreements with brand leaders, including The Coca Cola Company, Kellogg Company, Kimberly-Clark and The Gillette Company, and has helped to position DCP for strong future growth."
In 1992, Dolman joined DCP's European regional office in Paris, France, where he was charged with organizing an international team and developing regional licensing businesses in food, personal care and home furnishings. He went on to serve as regional vice president, licensing, for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, playing a key role in significantly growing the merchandise licensing business.
Prior to Disney, Dolman worked with Unilever in Australia and Nutricom in the Netherlands in various product logistics and retail sales positions.
A native of the Netherlands, Dolman is fluent in four languages and holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering and logistics from Delft University of Technology, a bachelor's degree in marketing from NIMA, Rotterdam, Netherlands, and a master's of business administration from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He and his wife, Chantal, live in Los Angeles.
