WDIG Promotes Eric Aledort to Snr VP, Business Development and Strategic Partnership Marketing
Walt Disney Internet Group Promotes Eric Aledort to Senior Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Partnership Marketing
Eric Aledort has been promoted to senior vice president, business development and strategic partnership marketing at the Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG).
He leads WDIG's business development activities, which focus on distribution and technology alliances to drive revenue growth and increase the widespread content distribution of all Internet properties of The Walt Disney Company. In addition, Aledort oversees the business unit's strategic partner marketing team, which builds and manages relationships with key sponsors and Disney corporate alliance partners, and works with the Internet properties' sales teams for cross-property sales and sponsor efforts.
Previously, Aledort was WDIG's vice president of business development.
"Eric has been instrumental in building our highest-level business relationships, including those with Compaq and MSN," said Larry Shapiro, executive vice president, business development and operations, WDIG. "This promotion is recognition of the strong results Eric and his team have contributed to our organization and his role in our strategic moves in the areas of broadband and wireless content distribution."
Aledort joined the Walt Disney Internet Group in 1996 and has served as vice president, e-commerce business development and vice president, business and legal affairs. Previously he was the international counsel for Immuno AG, an Austrian biotechnology company, where he acted as the lead negotiator for Immuno's international acquisitions and partnerships. He has also worked in the New York office of Sidley and Austin.
Aledort holds a B.A. from Vassar College, an M.A. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
