ESPN Auctions Offers Exclusive Items From ESPN The Magazine, Including a Magazine Experience
ESPN Auctions presented by eBay (www.ESPNauctions.com), will present an auction featuring items from ESPN The Magazine, the compelling, innovative and entertaining bi-weekly magazine recently named a finalist for the National Magazine Award for General Excellence. Beginning April 18-25, fans will have the opportunity to bid on items including an ESPN The Magazine Experience in New York City and autographed issues of the publication. Proceeds from certain items will benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
Marquee items from the ESPN The Magazine auction include:
- ESPN The Magazine Experience includes a day at ESPN The
Magazine's headquarters in New York City. The top bidder will meet staff members in each
department, sit in on an editorial meeting and have lunch at the ESPN Zone in Times Square
with an editorial staff member. The top bidder will also write a story about their
experience that will be posted on The Magazine's web site ( www.espnmag.com). This experience does not include any
hotel accommodations or transportation.
- Autographed ESPN The Magazine basketball and hockey issues
-- includes autographed issues of ESPN The Magazine featuring the following covers: Vince
Carter, Tracy McGrady, Dirk Nowitzki, Quentin Richardson, Alonzo Mourning, Phil Jackson
and Jaromir Jagr. Each magazine will be auctioned separately. Proceeds from these items
will benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
- Autographed ESPN The Magazine baseball issues -- includes autographed issues of ESPN The Magazine featuring the following covers: Roger Clemens, Nomar Garciaparra, Manny Ramirez and Alex Rodriguez. Each magazine will be auctioned separately. Proceeds from these items will benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
