Disney Music Publishing and Metrophonic UK Announce Sub-Publishing Deal

Disney Music Publishing today announced a sub-publishing agreement with Metrophonic UK that will expand each company's catalog of pop music on both continents through co-writing and co-productions. Susan Borgeson, Senior Vice President, Disney Music Publishing, announced the deal.

The pact will see Disney's Seven Peaks representing Metrophonic and its songwriters in a major North American sub-publishing deal. In turn, Metrophonic UK will represent Seven Summits and Seven Peaks Music for the United Kingdom.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Metrophonic UK," said Borgeson. "We looked at the synergies between the two companies and it seemed like a perfect fit. We're extremely pleased to be representing their talented writers and producers in North America."

Metrophonic UK is a Brit-based music production and publishing company featuring a growing staff of songwriters and record producers. The company boasts a track record of No. 1 records, including Cher's "Believe" and "(This Is) A Song For the Lonely," as well as Enrique Iglesias' hits "Bailemos," "Be With You" and "Hero." In addition, Metrophonic has enjoyed tremendous worldwide success with records for Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Mandy Moore, Andrea Bocelli, Samantha Mumba, and many more.

Disney Music Publishing acquires, administers and markets musical copyrights, including, but not limited to, those copyrights originating from the various Disney production units. The division also publishes sheet music and, through its Seven Summits Music unit, manages a staff of exclusive songwriters who are responsible for original songs in every style from country, rock and pop, to R&B and gospel. Seven Summits Music also represents songwriters who have written the worldwide No. 1 hits recorded by Uncle Kracker, Enrique Iglesias and Andrea Bocelli.
