Publisher Elevates Status to Elite BREW(R) Developer

Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG), today announced the titles of its first Disney, ABCNEWS.com and Movies.com branded applications developed for QUALCOMM's Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless(TM) (BREW) platform. WDIG will also expand its library of ESPN- and X Games-branded BREW-based titles.

WDIG's wireless applications include: ABC NEWS mobile headlines and news ticker; Disney ring tones and graphics; ESPN titles such as The BottomLine, Pro Hoops Sports Channel, Pro Hoops Pick'em, X Games Top Shots and X Games Video Live; and Movies.com movie finder and reviews.

"We are pleased to be developing content based on our other Disney brands for the BREW platform as consumer reaction to our first BREW applications for ESPN was strong. We anticipate the same success with our line-up of new titles," said Larry Shapiro, executive vice president, business development and operations, WDIG. "QUALCOMM's BREW solution provides us with the technical and business capabilities that have enabled us to quickly deliver our content to millions of wireless devices worldwide."

"We are excited to have an internationally recognized brand, such as Disney, develop and distribute their content using the BREW solution," said Gina Lombardi, senior vice president of marketing and product management, QUALCOMM Internet Services. "With BREW-enabled devices and services, wireless subscribers will be able to experience the thrill of ESPN, ABC News, Movies.com and Disney magic in the palms of their hands, virtually anytime, anywhere."
