Attention fans of Billy and the Hillbillies, Evan Marshall, and
great string music!
Lemar Productions proudly presents world-renowned mandolin virtuoso Evan Marshall in concert with Rick Dunham, featured Banjoist and Guitarist of Disney's California Adventure, Saturday, June 21 at "The Soul of Music", 236 W. Main Street, Alhambra, CA.
Also appearing with Evan and Rick will be Ellery Marshall on drums, who has performed this year with Wynton Marsalis at Lincoln Center and as a featured performer at the Hollywood Bowl's Playboy Jazz Festival, and John Marshall (Billy Bass) on string bass.
Showtime is 8:15 P. M.; doors open at 7:45. Admission is $15; complimentary desserts, coffee, and soft drinks will be available before showtime and during intermission.
The program will showcase the "String Swing" music of Jazz greats Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, whose legendary recordings from the 1930s and 40s still have a profound influence on Jazz and string music today. The evening's festivities will also include classic Bluegrass songs, some of Evan's original compositions for solo mandolin in his inimitable style, and other selections from Evan's two highly acclaimed solo CDs for Rounder Records, "Evan Marshall Is the Lone Arranger" and "Mandolin Magic".

take the Atlantic Blvd. exit, go north (Alhambra-bound) on Atlantic, and turn
right onto Main Street. "The Soul of Music" is in the old Pedrini Music
building, between 2nd and 3rd on the south side of Main Street; free parking is
available on the street or in the lot behind the building accessible by turning
