LPWire: Gold's Statement in Response to the Company Board's Release

Statement by Stanley Gold in Response to News Release Issued Today by the Walt Disney Company Board of Directors

After reading the Board's statement, I urge the Company to release all of my letters and the responses thereto. Let's let the court of public opinion decide whether there has been a full discussion of the issues I raised in my letter of resignation. Unfortunately, it has been extremely difficult to have debate on a Board which considers disagreement with management "destructive."

With respect to the Board's retirement rules, this Board does not even seem to be able to understand the plain meaning of what they wrote. We would refer them to page 10 of their guidelines.
