The Kidz are back and better than ever with the second release in the hit Superstar Kidz CD series. On March 2, 2004, "Walt Disney Records Presents Superstar Kidz 2," a collection that includes new renditions of 13 chart-topping tunes such as "So Yesterday" by Hilary Duff, "Why Can't I?" by Liz Phair and "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera. The compilation (with kid-appropriate lyrics also heard on Radio Disney) includes 5 bonus karaoke tracks so kids can belt out their favorite songs with actual back-up audio.
The quality of "Superstar Kidz 2" sings away the competition! These "Superstar Kidz" versions of hit songs sound just as good as the originals. The CD features four kids with amazing talent who participate on the compilation: Eli Vargas, Alison Iraheata, Hailey Markman and the winner of the first Superstar Kidz National Talent Contest, Madeline Melnyk. After winning in her local market (a semi-finalist at Radio Disney's WHKT-AM 1650 in Norfolk, Virginia), Madeline flew to the finals at Disney's California Adventure where she won the Grand Prize ... a chance to sing with the Superstar Kidz on "Superstar Kidz 2." The very next day Madeline was swept into the recording studio where she met up with the Superstar Kidz to rock out. Madeline can be heard on "So Yesterday" and "What Dreams Are Made Of."
