LPWire: Chicken Little Characters Arrive at McDonalds

Characters From Walt Disney Pictures’ Chicken Little Cross the Road Into McDonald’s(R) Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals on Their Way to the Silver Screen

The misfit band of characters from Walt Disney Pictures’ new animated comedy, Chicken Little, will cross the road into McDonald’s Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals beginning October 28, 2005, through November 22, 2005. McDonald’s guests will receive one of eight quirky characters inspired by the film, with the purchase of a Happy Meal(R) or Mighty Kids Meal(R), at participating restaurants nationwide, while supplies last.

The eight high-action Chicken Little character toys will bring hours of playtime fun to kids and collectors as they recreate their favorite scenes from the movie. The plucky Chicken Little(TM) character toy spins forward and backward by activating his whizzer - place him in his soda bottle to watch him take off. Pull the Fish Out of Water(TM) toy backwards to watch him burst out of a spaceship, and watch Buck Cluck(TM) speed away in his car whizzer. Wind up the Chicken Little character Baseball(TM) toy and watch him walk safely to third base, while Runt of the Litter(TM)’s pig fighter glides through the air with Runt inside. Rev-up Alien Baby(TM) and place him in his spaceship to watch him zig-zag about, and sing along with Abby Mallard (The Ugly Duckling)(TM) in her karaoke box. Completing this fun collection of characters is Foxy Loxy(TM) – energize Foxy’s acorn and prepare for one of her amazing back-flips.

In theatres November 4, Disney’s Chicken Little presents a new twist to the classic children’s fable of a chicken who causes widespread panic when he mistakes a falling acorn for a piece of sky. In this hilarious adventure, Chicken Little is determined to rebuild his reputation when a real piece of sky lands on his head. This time when it comes to saving the world, it helps to be a little chicken.

The McDonald’s Happy Meal event featuring characters from Walt Disney Pictures’ Chicken Little will be supported by national television advertising debuting in the U.S. on October 28. The commercial features original Disney animation of the Chicken Little character and his friends enjoying a visit to McDonald’s.

McDonald’s guests now have the opportunity to enjoy additional food choices with their Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals including Apple Dippers (fresh, peeled apple slices) served with low-fat caramel dipping sauce, and beverage choices including 100% pure Minute Maid apple juice and low-fat white and chocolate Milk Jugs, served in easy to handle containers.
