Portobello celebrates national noodle month with a pasta fest!

Enjoy Noodle Favorites All Month long!

(February 18, 2010) Portobello restaurant, located at the Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island, 1670 Lake Buena Vista, is celebrating everything pasta all during March, which is National Noodle Month!

In honor of National Noodle month, Portobello’s Chef Steven Richard will feature a different pasta dish each week. Dishes will include Italian favorites such as Ravioletti di Crescenza, fresh farmer's cheese wrapped in homemade pasta with brown butter; Pappardelle with Braised Duck, slow-cooked duck with roasted tomatoes and fresh pasta ribbons; Mushroom Ravioli with Parmesan Cream sauce, House-made pasta filled with shitake, portobello and crimini mushrooms and Gnocchi with Pork Ragu - Potato dumplings with a classic slow cooked meat sauce.

Pasta Fest will conclude with a cooking class with James Beard award winning Chef Tony Mantuano and Portobello’s Executive Chef Steven Richard on April 22, 2010. Guests can enjoy the fun by taking a hand’s on approach to Italian cooking and have the opportunity to learn the secrets of making fresh pasta at home. The class cost is $49.95 per person. Portobello’s interior is inspired by Italy’s trattorias and hidden corners and features warm tones of red, orange and yellow, with terracotta tile and rustic irons designed to make guests feel transported to the Italian countryside. Guests can also enjoy dining outdoors with the new alfresco patio.

Portobello’s menu was developed by the culinary trio comprised of James Beard award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano, of Chicago’s noted Spiaggia restaurant, John Radcliff, Regional Chef of Levy Restaurants, and Steven Richard, Executive Chef of Portobello.
