As bandanas and eye patches were liberally handed out, Matt returned in full pirate regalia.
He had, he informed the Captain, taken over the crew. To prove his point, two hapless pirates, holding balloons and lighted batons shuffled onto stage.
As he thanked everyone for attending, Matt promised “I’m never wearing this hat again.�? The whole crew then headed down the main aisle, leading everyone to a pirate themed dinner under the stars.
Billy Hill and the Hillbilly Pirates performed, and even Mickey and Goofy got into the pirate mood. The 2006 Roundup of Community Leaders was officially part of Disneyland history.
