Grandmother Willow suggests they both settle down and recall the prophecy of the forest. The prophecy states, "One of the creatures has a special gift to protect the forest."

Pocahontas sounds the horn to call her animal friends to learn the special gift before its too late. She recalls the gift of the possum -- its clever and protects itself by pretending to be dead.

A porcupine is very friendly if you treat him nicely but if you cross him his quills will stick straight up. Sprig exclaims, "I get the point." Grandmother Willow explains the porcupine represents faith and trust. He reminds us that we can accomplish great things as long as we truly believe we can.
