On September 1 Disneyland officially introduced their 2017-2018 Ambassadors to the World. Alexa Garcia and Mikey Trujillo were selected from a field of candidates at a private ceremony at the Disneyland Hotel. They were then paraded through Disneyland Park in the fire engine, accompanied by Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Alexa and Mikey will assume their duties on January 1, 2017, after a “hand off” ceremony in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle on New Year’s Eve.
