A Different Type of Holiday Celebration at Universal Orlando Resort

The Universal Orlando Resort is always a great place to visit year round, but during the holidays, it is even more epic! Both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure offer some of the most enjoyable takes on this most joyous time of the year.

Universal Studios Florida

Mannheim Steamroller fills the park with their iconic versions on the music of the season in the Music Plaza Stage on select nights in November and December, offering a must-see for anyone wanting to get in the holiday mood.

The Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s is a new take on a classic hometown christmas parade. With more than 30 floats and balloons along with hundreds of talented performers, this parde has something from your littlest Minion to your grumpiest of Shreks — all topped off with a visit from the big man in the sleigh.

Universal’s Islands of Adventure

There is nothing more magical than Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Although the land is always in a perpetual state of winter, it is a special time when Christmas comes to Hogsmeade Village and Diagon Alley. With special performances from the Frog Choir and the wizarding world’s most popular singing sensations Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees, you’ll feel you stepped right into one of J.K. Rowling’s pages. Of course, you can’t end your Holiday night without a little extra topping and “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” is the perfect way to say “goodnight.”

For me, the highlight of the holidays is hearing the retelling of “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” in the most fun way during the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.” This live retelling includes not only touching moments from the book but also some extra additions that bring this story to the stage for Grinchmas at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Now, while I won’t spoil all these epic holiday treats, hopefully sharing some of the highlights will encourage you to head to Universal Orlando Resort before January 5th to start making some special memories with your family and friends.
