Six more great Discussion Board topics

"The Misadventures of Doobie Jones"

Around two months age I used this space to show you eight great topics from our Discussion Boards. That idea went over well, so I thought I'd try it again. The Discussion Boards have now been around for four months. In that time we've had nearly 14,000 posts in nearly 1,200 topics. Here are six good ones from the past two months:

Topic Read on the Thread
What does your screen name mean?
At over 150 messages it's our longest topic ever. A great idea from R2P2 this is a great place to get to know other readers.
Plutochick got started at the age of three. I was in Disneyland, and my dad held me up to say hi to Pluto, and I gave him a huge hug and pulled his tongue. My two favorite pictures remain the one of me hanging from Pluto's tongue and one of me, age thirteen, getting a huge kiss from Pluto!

MouseWorks and Classic Shorts
Each week MouseBear reviews that week's MouseWorks episode
Pluto Gets the Paper: Bubble Gum:
I believe this was the first MouseWorks short shown on network television. (on a Pooh Valentine Special in February of 1999) It is a fun short short with Pluto getting into all kinds of trouble just trying to do his job. Pluto's expression, and body movement, when the Bubble Gum reverses itself is priceless.
Newsies
A Disney live-action cult favorite
Newsies was the greatest movie disney made in my opinion (non animated). While it didn't do well at the box office (as most live action musicals dont now a days), it is considered by many a cult classic. The internet site devotion is extraordinary and the amount of money the video, and especially the rare CD go for on eBay are ridiculous.. I should know I paid $75 dollars for a mint CD. Even this many years after this forgotten musical disappeared from site it is making people a lot of money, I agree and think disney should re-release it to cash in on the benefits, and hopefully bring down the resale value of related paraphanalia--I'm going BROKE!
Disneyland Cheeseburgers
Food is always a popular topic on the boards
My boy wouldn't eat burgers (still won't eat cheeseburgers at McDonalds) for the first couple years of his life, but when I grabbed a burger from the Tomorrowland Terrace just before getting on the subs with him (yes this was a couple of years ago), he wanted to try it, and ended up eating most of it while we were in line. Since then, he always wants Cheeseburgers when we're at Disney.
NFL, Y2K, OK?
Yes, football talk on a Disney site.
I think you should go to pittsburgh for a vacation buddy. and while your waiting for the steelers season to begin you can watch the penguins run roughshod to the stanley cup finals. btw, how many super bowl rings do the titans have? oh yeah, they don't.
