Disney Studio 1
However, the most imposing structure on the courtyard is directly in front of visiting guests. The name has changed nearly a dozen times, but the Imagineers have finally settled on “Disney Studio 1” for the covered Main Street of the park. Guests enter the giant soundstage through a series of doors before stumbling onto the set of a movie currently in production. Various sets greet the guests on either side of the boulevard.

On the right is the giant cafeteria, Restaurant en Coulisse which features a variety of main dishes including burgers, pasta, pizza and salads. The restaurant is hidden behind several facades, recreating the decor and design of Hollywood before World War Two, with the Brown Derby, the Hep Cat jazz club, Gunga Den, Polynesian bars and a scene from Aladdin. The second floor even features Carmen’s Veranda, but the cheeziness of this balcony is exceeded by the Liki Tiki with its Enchanted Tiki Room entrance! Studio 1 has neon signs suspended from virtually every inch of the building.
