Ashmans musical partner, Alan Menken, is at the center of disc ones Composing a Classic: A Musical Conversation with Alan Menken, wherein the Oscar winning composer relates the creation of each of the films iconic songs. That, of course, includes the Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy Award winning title track, which is also heard in a new music video featuring American Idol winner Jordin Sparks.

Broadway Beginnings offers a unique look at Beautys Broadway legacy with interviews with various celebrities who trod the boards in the long-running crowd pleaser, including Donny Osmond (who played, um, Gaston), Nick Jonas (who knew he was a Chip?) and a host of Belles, such as Deborah (formerly Debbie) Gibson, Jamie-Lynn (formerly Meadow) Sigler and Andrea (formerly Annie) McArdle. This will certainly prove inspiring to every kid out there with Glee-ful aspirations.

Two never-before-seen deleted scenes round out disc ones bonuses. The first is a lengthy story reel of the original opening sequence of the film, way back when the movie wasnt even a musical and had an entirely different plot. In this version, Belle had a younger sister and a snooty aunt, Gaston was a rich fop and Cogsworth was a grandfather clock. The second deleted scene finds Belle exploring the castles library, where she encounters four lost enchanted objects.

In addition to two new games (the music-themed Enchanted Musical Challenge and the BD Live only Bonjour, Who is This?), disc two also includes a selection of Classic DVD Bonus Features, a.k.a. carry-overs from the Beauty Platinum Edition DVD. These offer an interesting chance to compare them to the current Blu-ray features, which certainly out shine them in technical pizzazz.

As seen in this latest presentation, it is quite clear that Beauty and the Beast will be telling its tale as old as time for generations to come.
