There was a long line of people waiting to congratulate and thank Ray one-on-one and get a picture with him.

This cake had a play on the "Nobody Does it Better" motto.

As Disneyland enthusiasts and cast members alike know, Disneyland is not just a place, but a show. It takes people to make that show come alive and to keep it going. Ray has been one of those people since 1965. The show changes a little with the exit of each major personality. It won't be the same without Ray, but he does leave Custodial in some good hands with a wealth of experience and dedication to one of the original elements that made Disneyland what it is - keeping it clean.

Ray has retired, but as I personally know having been a hired Disneyland broom from 1990 to 2005: once a jani, always a jani. Ill always be down with the 3DC in the 749, especially for 33F or 33H Lead.

Congratulations, Ray! Have a long and happy retirement.
