Disney CEO Bob Chapek and Executive Chairman Bob Iger took the stage in Raleigh, North Carolina today for the Disney 2020 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. During their presentation, Chapek announced the opening date for the highly anticipated Avengers Campus coming to Disney California Adventure.
- Avengers Campus will open at Disney California Adventure on July 18.
- The Disney Parks Blog also shared some new details on the land, including the name of the new Spider-Man attraction – WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.
- The new attraction will include a seamless blend of 3D and new interface to allow guests to go on a mission and experience what it’s like to sling webs alongside Spider-Man.
- It was also announced that Tom Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker for the new attraction.
- We also got details on the WEB Suppliers store, where guests will find the latest WEB inventions, including interactive Spider-Bots much like the ones seen in the new attraction.
- Each Spider-bot will come with a remote control and eight articulated legs that move forward and backward.
- Guests will also be able to customize their Spider-bots with tactical upgrades to harness the powers of some of their favorite heroes, like Black Widow, Iron Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man and The Wasp.
- Guests will also find the nearby Campus Supply Pod where they can pick up Avengers Campus gear, including performance fleece hoodies and tees, headwear, drinkware and other Super Hero supplies.

- Next, we learned more about the four dining location that will be featured in Avengers Campus, the previously-announced Pym Test Kitchen, Pym Tasting Lab, Shawarma Palace and Terran Treats.
- A couple of menu items from Pym Test Kitchen were revealed, including the Impossible plant-based large and micro meatballs with pasta and the “Pym-ini,” a panini served by the slice or as a long, multi-portion sandwich.
- At the Pym Tasting Lab, adjacent to Pym Test Kitchen, guests will be able to enjoy an adult beverage, including craft beers and the Pym Research Staff’s Pym Particle-infused cocktail experiments.
- At the Shawarma Palace food cart, inspired by the “shawarma joint” visited by our heroes in Marvel’s Avengers, guests will find shawarma-inspired snacks.
- The cart will also be decked out with Avengers memorabilia as the owner is a big fan.
- Finally, Taneleer Tivan will be opening up his own food cart near Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! called Terran Treats.
- At this new cart, guests will find a weird and wonderful menu of intergalactic eats.
- Guests will of course be able to meet some of their favorite heroes around the campus, including:
- Iron Man
- Captain Marvel
- Black Widow
- Doctor Strange
- The Guardians of the Galaxy
- Black Panther and the Dora Milaje
- Thor and Loki
- However, we also learned that guests will find a formidable villain wandering the campus as Taskmaster from the upcoming film Black Widow, will be seen for the first time at a Disney park in Avengers Campus.
- As previously announced, guests may also find Spider-Man swinging about the rooftops across the campus as well.
