Countdown to Avengers Campus: WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure

As we get closer and closer to the opening of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, we continue our look at some of the Marvelous details that will be found in the new land. Guests will not only be able to see some of their favorite Marvel characters around the new land but they'll even be able to experience what it’s like to be Spider-Man with the WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure attraction.

During an open house at WEB, the aspiring inventors are excited to invite guests for a test drive of their latest invention: the “Web Slinger” vehicle, allowing guests to sling webs just like Spider-Man! The attraction gives guests a taste of what it’s like to have actual super powers as they help Spider-Man collect Spider-Bots that have run amok.

That’s the official description of the new attraction coming to Avengers Campus, but to make a long story short: you get to see what it’s like to be Spider-Man! Guests will get to do whatever a spider can as they chase these mischievous Spider-Bots. Just keep in mind that with great power…

The experience will start off with a presentation from Peter Parker himself, as he explains to guests how the new WEB slinger vehicles work. Of course, things don’t go according to plan (curse that Parker luck!) and guests will be asked to help round up the pesky Spider-Bots.

The interactive attraction will ask guests to use their new web-slinging abilities to trap the little bots. The attraction will employ technology that will recognize body movements and gestures in order to create a seamless superhero experience. The adventure will even take guests through other locations throughout Avengers Campus, like the Pym Test Kitchen, Avengers Headquarters and the Collector’s Fortress.

And that’s not even the best part. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be delighted to know that the Spider-Man they’ll be dealing with here will be none other than Tom Holland, who portrays the character in several MCU films. Holland shared a look at the attraction and his excitement for getting to reprise his role as Peter Parker in the video below.

Avengers Campus will open June 4 at Disney California Adventure. Be sure to check back for more looks at all the Marvel fun coming soon in the weeks leading up to the opening date.
