Disney has shared construction photos of the Disney Wish as it continues to be built in Germany.

What’s Happening:
- Disney has shared a look at the Disney Wish under construction in Germany as Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship gets ready to set sail in 2022.
- The update looks at two spaces currently being worked on, the wheelhouse and bow.

- The wheelhouse, also known as “the bridge” is where the captain and officers command the ship.

- In the picture above, you can see the wheelhouse being lifted and installed. The next step will be to get the first building part called the gigablock, “married” to the foreship with remaining aft blocks lifted and installed to complete the entire ship.

- The second part of the installation update shows the bow of the Disney Wish being installed. This is where Captain Minnie will be featured in a designed medallion and filigree.
- The tip of the bow alone weighs 500 metric tons.

- The process of lifting, installing, na dfully welding the bow while it was suspended took under 10 hours to complete.
- There are now 30 blocks remaining to be installed to complete the Disney Wish before it sets sail with more updates to come.
More on the Disney Wish:
- One of the brand-new experiences Guests will be able to enjoy is the AquaMouse. Described as a “Family water attraction,” this new water slide sets itself apart from the AquaDuck on previous ships by incorporating show scenes, lighting and special effects.
- There will also be a Toy Story Waterplay District for families to enjoy.
- The three restaurants on the ship are inspired by Frozen, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the year the Walt Disney Company was founded.
- For the first time on a Disney ship, Guests will embark on a space-jumping tour of the Star Wars galaxy at Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge — a high-end bar styled as a luxurious yacht-class spaceship that will offer themed, immersive experiences for Guests.
- The Disney Wish will present entertainment experiences that will immerse families in the fantastical worlds of their favorite Disney stories including Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular, and more.

The Disney Wish will set sail in summer 2022.
