DuckTales Gives Nod to Classic 1989 Video Game Based on Original Series

Disney XD’s DuckTales series is always loaded with nostalgia. The theme song alone is enough to take you back. But Saturday’s episode featured a very subtle nod that many fans may not have caught.

  • The Disney Channel PR Twitter account explained the reference featured in last week’s episode.
  • Della Duck, voiced by Paget Brewster, sings a lullaby featuring the music from the 1989 game’s moon level.

  • Disney Channel even replied to a nearly two-year old tweet from Lin-Manuel Miranda, who voices Gizmoduck, in which he was listening to the music from the game.

  • Saturday’s episode, titled “What Ever Happened to Della Duck!?,” is available now on DisneyNOW.
