Walt Disney World has announced return dates for various entertainment offerings around the resort but also included end dates for firework shows at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom as both get ready for new spectaculars that will debut on October 1 for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary.
What’s Happening:
- Disney Parks Blog has announced end dates for EPCOT’s “EPCOT Forever” and Magic Kingdom’s “Happily Ever After” nighttime spectaculars as both parks get ready to debut their new shows as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021.
- “EPCOT Forever” will have its last show on September 28, 2021, making way for the debut of “Harmonious” on October 1, 2021.
- “Happily Ever After” will have its last show on September 29, 2021, with “Disney Enchantment” debuting on October 1, 2021, to celebrate the 50th anniversary.
- Along with end dates for the two shows, Disney announced return dates for various entertainment offerings at the parks you can check out below.
Entertainment Return Dates at Walt Disney World:
- August 1 – “Wonderful World of Animation” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- August 8 – Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor at Magic Kingdom Park
- August 15 – Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- August 21 – Turtle Talk with Crush at EPCOT
Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary:
- All four parks will be decked out with special celebratory decorations, including new lighting packages on the four park icons. These “Beacons of Magic” will transform the icons every night.
- Over at Magic Kingdom, a new fireworks show, “Disney Enchantment,” will light up the sky while “Harmonious” takes place as EPCOT.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom will get into the celebration with the new show “Disney KiteTails.”
- 50 golden character sculptures will debut at all four theme parks, along with “Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade” at Magic Kingdom.
- Walt Disney World Resort announced new nametags coming for Cast Members to celebrate the 50th anniversary including those who were honored with the Walt Disney Legacy Award.
“The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” starts on October 1, 2021 at the Walt Disney World Resort and will continue to be celebrated for 18 months.
