Henry Simmons has joined the cast of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in the recurring role of Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie, a mechanic in his 30s. This character is inspired by a character that first appeared in NICK FURY VS. S.H.I.E.L.D. #3. In the comics, the character is older and and wrote a “tell-all” book entitled UnSHIELDed: an Unauthorized Insider’s Look Behind the World’s Most Powerful Global Spy Network, which purportedly explained some of the history behind the organization from his point of view.
Simmons previously portrayed Detective Baldwin Jones on ABC’s NYPD Blue from 2000-2005. He also portrayed Simon Beaumont on ABC Family’s Ravenswood.
