What’s Happening:

  • The Disney Parks Blog just showed off how the Disneyland Resort is celebrating Spider-Man Day.
  • In addition to having Spider-Man swinging above the skies of Avengers Campus and inviting WEB recruits to help him take down some Spider Bots, families can get their photo taken in front of a new backdrop.
  • Themed to the upcoming Disney Junior series Spidey and his Amazing Friends, the photo spot includes Spider-Man, Ghost Spider and Spin (a new nickname for Miles Morales in costume) in front of a bright kid-friendly New York City street.
  • Guests will find this new photo spot in Hollywood Land and it’s the same spot that Spider-Man used to meet and greet before the opening of Avengers Campus.
  • There’s also a special surprise in store for Guests who scan the QR code on the poster next to the photo op. The article doesn’t say what it is, but the information next to the code says Guests will be able to “See more” of Spidey and his Amazing Friends.
  • A series of shorts from Spidey and his Amazing Friends are now streaming on Disney+ and the first full episode of the show premieres Friday, August 6th, at 9/8c on Disney Junior.
