Earlier today, we were on scene at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see the progress of a new attraction coming to the park, the Mickey Shorts Theater.
What’s Happening:
- Announced a few weeks ago, Mickey Shorts Theater is part of a promise by Disney’s Hollywood Studios to make a visit to the park even more extraordinary, with immersive experiences for guests of all ages.
- Coming to the park’s Theater District, Mickey Shorts Theater is, as we can see in these photos, coming along nicely where Drew Carey once got caught in the middle of some detective hijinks in Sounds Dangerous: Starring Drew Carey. More recently, it’s where guests got their quick refresher on the Star Wars saga, with Star Wars: Path of the Jedi.
- Mickey Shorts Theater will likely show cartoon shorts featuring Mickey Mouse as we get nearer and nearer to the debut of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The attraction, slated to debut in the Spring of 2020, is based on the recent award-winning Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, and will be unique to Disney’s Hollywood Studios until 2022 when a version is scheduled to open in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is the first ride at any Disney park that stars Mickey Mouse and friends.
