We’re getting closer and closer to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and the Summer issue of Disney Twenty-Three will feature a behind-the-scenes look at the expansive new land.
- D23 has expanded the upcoming issue so as to include more of the breathtaking photos of Black Spire Outpost, as well as three rich stories that feature exclusive interviews with the Imagineers behind the epic project.
- The three stories will include:
- “A Galaxy Not So Far Away,” which will give readers the lay of the land.
- “Shift Your Setting to Thrill!,” which will explore the two groundbreaking attractions.
- “Living on the Edge.” which will detail the immersive environments and new technologies.
- In addition to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge coverage, the Summer issue of Disney Twenty-Three also includes a second cover featuring Simba from Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of The Lion King.
- Director Jon Favreau – along with stars Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, and Shahadi Wright Joseph – talk about bringing the beloved tale to the screen in an all-new way.
- Also featured in the issue, Disney Legend Tim Allen shares stories from the making of Toy Story 4 and the stars of the upcoming live-action Aladdin talk about their journey into a whole new world.
- Other stories in the Summer issue of Disney Twenty-Three will include:
- Disney Theatrical’s 25th anniversary, stars of its original Broadway productions share their favorite memories.
- Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald takes readers on a spirited ride through 50 years of Haunted Mansion, including a look at the new additions to Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris.
