Early this morning, Good Morning America (GMA) shared a first look at the upcoming Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction opening this December at Walt Disney World and January in Disneyland.
What’s happening:
- Star Wars fans were in for a treat this morning as GMA gave audiences a special first look at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’s Rise of the Resistance attraction.
- Along with seeing a few new images of the highly anticipated ride, ABC’s Will Reeve got a behind the scenes tour and had the chance to speak to Margaret Kerrison, Managing Story Editor, Walt Disney Imagineer.
Note: The lightsabers were part of a scene cut animation and are NOT part of the attraction.
- Kerrison gave Reeve a run down of the massive ride that she says is an “epic and elaborate story” that will let guests feel like they are in the middle of an “authentic, immersive and 360° experience.”
- The new ride will open at Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 5, 2019 and at Disneyland on January 17, 2020.
