This morning, Star Wars fans got their first look at the updated Star Tour: The Adventures Continues, which now integrates Crait from The Last Jedi along with a planet we’re sure to learn much more about in 2019. In the ride, it’s revealed that the planet we’ll visit when venturing to Galaxy’s Edge is called Batuu. Riders on Star Tours will now complete their journeys by arriving a spaceport on that planet.
As mentioned, the planet Crait has also been added to the attraction. Our own Jeremiah who got to take a Starspeeder ride this morning says this new scene calls to mind the original Star Tours as riders head through a crystal cave. Later in the scene, guests join the battle briefly seen in The Last Jedi teaser. Poe Dameron and General Hux also make appearances during our Crait adventure.
These changes to Star Tours: The Adventures Continue can now be experienced at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. However, we’ll have to wait until 2019 to explore Batuu and the Galaxy’s Edge more.
