“Coco,” “Blackish,” and “The Good Doctor” Earn 2018 Golden Globe Nominations

This morning, the nominees for the 2018 Golden Globes were announced. While Disney’s blockbusters were shutout for many of the top prizes, the company did manage to score a couple of film nominations (thanks to Coco) as well as a couple of TV honors. First, as mentioned, Coco picked up two nominations: one for Best Motion Picture, Animated and another for Best Original Song (“Remember Me”).

On the TV side of things, Black-ish was nominated for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy. Additionally, Anthony Anderson picked up a nomination for his role on the show. Anderson will compete in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy category while Freddie Highmore of The Good Doctor is in the running for Actor in a Television Series, Drama.

The 2018 Golden Globes will air Sunday, January 7th on NBC.
