Cast Members from the Disney Theatrical presentations of Aladdin, The Lion King, and Frozen all surprised the ladies of The View with a show stopping medley of tunes from their shows celebrating the return of their productions to the Broadway stage.
What’s Happening:
- Disney on Broadway is back and to celebrate, cast members from the theatrical presentations of Aladdin, The Lion King, and Frozen have shown up on The View on ABC to sing a medley of classic songs from their respective shows.
- In the surprise performance, we hear the songs “Can You Feel The Love Tonight,” “A Whole New World,” and “Let It Go” from the shows.
- The video opens up with a clip we’ve seen earlier as the cast reunited for the first time to rehearse, performing an emotional rendition of “Circle of Life” from The Lion King.
- Members of the casts of Aladdin, The Lion King, and Frozen all then surprise the ladies of The View on their set and perform the various tunes in a surprise spectacle.
- The surprise medley occurred in celebration of the return of the shows from Disney Theatrical, all of which stopped performances back in March of 2020 when theaters closed due to the spread of COVID-19 and the global pandemic surrounding it.
- The Lion King returned to the stage earlier this month, and the return of Aladdin took place on September 28th, but tonight’s performance, September 29th, was abruptly cancelled when several of the cast of the show tested positive for COVID-19.
- Frozen The Musical is benning their North American tour in Minneapolis, MN on September 30th, with dates and locations set for the next year at multiple venues across the continent.
