ABC and Rosie O’Donnell have announced that she will be leaving The View for a second time. According to Ms. O’Donnell’s publicist O’Donnell and her wife Michelle Rounds split in November, and she had decided to leave the show to spend more time with her five children.
ABC said in a statement that, “When she told us that she wanted to exit The View, we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first.” They also added that she will continue to make guest appearances on ABC Family’s The Fosters.
The View has struggled since a revamp caused by Barbara Walters’ retirement. Recently, the show was brought into the news division in an attempt to assist the show in finding its footing once again.
