Disney's Animal Kingdom

At first glance, Disney’s Animal Kingdom might appear to be your average city zoo — but it’s so much more than that. Not only does Animal Kingdom offer thrills from rides like Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids but also allows guests to see a vast number of species upclose, be it on the popular Kilimanjaro Safaris or on one of the parks many trails. Additionally, the park is now home to Pandora: The World of Avatar, which fits perfectly into Animal Kingdom’s conservation mission.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the park’s iconic Tree of Life has grown new roots. Featuring new animals that make up the circle of life, from tiny bugs to large crocodiles, the expanded roots also offer a widened walkway for guests visiting Discovery Island. The 145-foot tall structure is covered in more than 103,000 leaves and debuted as the park’s icon at the park’s opening in 1998.
