A somewhat more prosaic change is the appearance of hand washing stations throughout the ship. After viruses affected a number of passengers on cruise liners, Disney began an aggressive program to encourage constant hand washing. These unobtrusive stations have everything needed to ensure that this is an easy process.

Kid’s activities, of course, are an important part of the Disney Cruise Line. Although the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab occupy a large area of Deck 5, they are often booked to beyond capacity during the cruise. On the Magic, the Conference Center (formerly the Library and Lounge) on Deck 2 have been converted into Ocean Quest.

At Ocean Quest, young guests can “steer�? the Magic into port on a virtual bridge, play the latest video games, or engage in supervised activities.
