Editor: Denise Thrill: 3 Theme: 4 Overall: 3 (9/24/2007)This grand ship also takes guests around the river but provides a much different theme than the Mark Twain Riverboat does. It's worth the trip. The Sailing Ship Columbia also plays a very dramatic role in the nighttime spectacular, Fantasmic! It should not be missed.

I was espcially interested in the displays below deck. It was like stepping back into the past.

Welcome abord the proud Columbia! Take a break and enjoy the breeze on your face. Don't forget to take a look below deck. Well done and very interesting.

Loved this. It was a favourite with out whole group. We didn't go til the third day and my niece kept asking when we were going to go on the big boat.

I grew up with this ship... that is probably why my heart and soul are tied to her. I had many an adventure on her decks in the sunshine and drizzel.....either as a Continental Marine or Pirate, I always felt a love for the COLUMBIA and often make trips from Alaska to Disneyland JUST to go aboard and visit the old girl.

Even better than the Steamboat in my opinion, but that's because I sail recreationally I suppose. Again, try it out, it's pretty much a unique ride anywhere. Real ones don't exist anymore...

truly a wonderful attraction. I agree with others, it is among the most underated in the park.
The little below decks museum is full of detail.

As with the Jungle Cruise it was the witty commentary of the captain that really made it for us. Beautiful ship.

I love this ride. Not the most exciting in the park, but it holds many wonderful childhood memories for me. I can't wait to take my kids on it this summer.

My fantasy wedding takes place on the deck or the Columbia at sunset. She's an old friend and very much a part of me.

With the wonderful downstairs cabins and cargo holds to explore and the LOUD firing of the cannon at Fort Wilderness by the ship's first mate, I enjoy this boat much more than the sedate Mark Twain. It's a shame it only runs on the very busy days.

Same as Mark Twain, more interesting boat, though.

As a kid I remember being amazed by how big this thing seemed as it sailed by on the river. It's detailed theming like this that make Disneyland rise above its cheesy competitors.

Same as Mark Twain but more stylish

A great way to see the river when you are in the mood for something more lively than the Mark Twain.

A wonderful Frontierland attraction, ordered built by Walt Disney shortly after Disneyland's opening in 1955. The hull of the ship is from an actual clipper ship and was constructed at the Long Beach Naval Yard for the Park.
