I enjoy this. The sound of the whistle, the sight of the ship is just so Classic at Disney.

This is such a relaxing ride. The little bed in the boat has served as a napping spot for my children through the yers.

Where else can one enjoy the view on an authentic steamboat?

A great ride and very exciting for me since i saw an aligator swimming near Tom Sawyers Island. I heard rumors and now i know its true about the aligators.

To clear a few things up from previous comments The Empress Lilly was the name of the riverboat shaped restaurant at Downtown Disney, it looks like a boat but it is not. The Admiral Joe Fowler was the first sternwheeler on the Magic Kingdoms Rivers of America in 1973 the Richard F Irvine joined it. The Fowler looked like the Twain at dl (two Smoke Stacks) the Fowler had only one smoke stack there was really never much need for a second boat so the Fowler was scapped at the time for it's second re-hab in 1981 (the boats are on five year cycles) the widen your world web site says it was damaged during the re hab, if anyone knows more about this please let me know. When the Irvine went in for it's mid 90's re hab it was re christened the Liberty Belle. and the Three Seven Seas Lagoon Ferries Magig Kingdom I, Magic Kingdom II, and the Kingdom Queen were re-named The Richard F Irvine, Admiral Joe Fowler, and General Joe Potter

Not to be overlooked as a great way to get away from things. Rarely ever a line, and a great way to relax and enjoy the evening breeze.

Not a bad way to relax, but there are better ways to spend your time.

A very pleasant voyage. The upper level on a mild sunny day is very nice!

Not a real exciting ride, but so scenic and so thematic that I cannot imagine a Disney (Magic Kingdom) Park without a Paddlewheeler. I always make sure to take at least one cruise around the Rivers of America.

A great place to spend a few minutes away from the maddening crowds.

It's an enjoyable ride.

Do this attraction on your first visit to WDW, then you won't have to any other visits. Older non-thrill seeking visitor will enjoy this.

Although the attraction itself is not that exciting, you still achieve that pioneering spirit and nostalgic feeling. I have only ridden on these boats (in wdw and dland) a couple times, but I love the fact that they're there. It ads atmosphere. I am a little upset at one thing though. I like the name Liberty Belle, and I wasn't fond of the name Richard F. Irvin. But the fact that they started off with that name to honor an Imagineer and changed it just seems wrong.

This attraction has lots of atmosphere and is a pleasant break during a hectic day. If I'm not mistaken there were 2 boats before, the Richard F Irvine and the Admiral Joe Fowler. I find it strange that WDW has begun removing it's history, however I think it was really terrible when they changed the name of the Empress Lilly (named after Walt's wife).

Hay what happen to the Richard F Irvine did he fall out of faver along with Walts wife.

[Ed Note: There used to be a second riverboat, the Richard F. Irvine, that went around the river.]

Very relaxing peaceful ride in a busy busy park. Boat itself is better kept than the Mark Twain at D-Land

Two steam stacks are better than one.

A nice way to relax and enjoy the Rivers of America.

Great way to take in the sights of Adventureland, Frontierland and Liberty Square while it not usually crowded either.

A ride to experience once, on your first ever trip to Disney. After that, it's nice to look at. That's all.

User ID: ChipDale   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (3/22/2000)
As much as I enjoy this attraction, I prefer the narration on the Mark Twain.

User ID: Jeremiah   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (2/5/2000)
A nice way to relax and enjoy just how amazing the park looks.

User ID: damon63   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: Unrated (1/17/2000)
There used to be two riverboats here - a double stacked one (a replica of Disneyland's) and a single stacked one. What happened?

User ID: TPA_RickWest   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (1/5/2000)
A wonderful addition to the River, this is a special way to see the banks of Liberty Square and Frontierland. Odd to Disneyland regulars though, who are use to seeing two steam stacks as opposed to one!
