Epcot

Debuting in 1982 Epcot was the second theme park to open at Walt Disney World. Epcot is perhaps Disney's most daring park at Walt Disney World with its emphasis on education as well as entertainment. Epcot is really two parks in one. The first is Future World which is made up of several pavilions devoted to the land, sea, space. energy and more. The second area is the World Showcase where pavilions representing 11 counties (including America) surround the World Showcase Lagoon. In addition to the the attractions and restaurants that celebrate each of the countries, the pavilions are staffed with Cast Members who are native to those countries.

The Epcot attraction guide lists and describes every attraction, dining location and shop in the park. All ratings are on a scale from 1 to 4, 4 being best. Attractions are rated relative to one another, so even a low rated Epcot attraction might be better than many attractions outside of Disney. Ratings are very subjective so please do not use them as your only criteria when planning your visit.

Epcot is divided into two major areas, Future World and World Showcase. Each of these is further divided into separate pavilions:

Future World

World Showcase

Epcot also offer other entertainment:

Laughing Place Podcast
This week the LPP look back on Animal Kingdom's 10th birthday (including listener thoughts) and talk about Wall-E and the Disney Channel Games. Plus listener mail on the right age to take your child to Disney World. And, of course, the Captain's Challenge, FanBoy's Disney Myths and the rest of the silliness.
