Disneyland's 45th Anniversary - Parade
Note: On April 14th the "new" 45 Years of Magic - The Parade of the Stars" debuted. The parade was reworked with a few new characters, a new order, and new music.
45 Years of Magic - The Parade of Stars celebrates Characters and Guests, the two "stars" who have helped make Disneyland so magical over the years. Following the 45th anniversary theme of "There's Magic in the Stars", the floats and Disney characters appear to rest on top of clouds as the parade processes down the route. Also keep an eye out for a star motif on character costumes and some of the floats.
The Music
The parade music features two classic Disney numbers When You Wish Upon A Star and A Dream
Is A Wish Your Heart Makes. Interwoven with these two numbers are a score of snippets from
your favorite Disney movies including recent hits like Tarzan and classics like Mary

The Guests
A special feature of this year's parade is guest participation. During the hour prior to
the parade special cast members called "Guest Coaches" select approximately 45
guests to join in the celebration. The lucky and energetic guests are then loaded onto one
of the double-decker busses and taken to the beginning of the parade route for costuming
and some quick rehearsal.
