Disneyland's 45th Anniversary - Parade 2

The parade opens with one of Disneyland's true icons -- The Blue Fairy. Perhaps the most beautiful of all the floats The Blue Fairy bestows her fae benediction on all who are gathered to witness the celebratory procession. Like previous Blue Fairy floats, this one conveys a sense of majesty and magic. But the design is unlike you've ever seen before.

Grouped together with The Blue Fairy are four other famous fairies; The Fairy Godmother, and Aurora's three aunts Flora, Fauna and Merryweather.

What's unusual about this group is the fact that Flora, Fauna and Merryweather are face characters.

Three classic Disney Princesses can be found riding together on the second major float of the parade. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella journey on back of a giant cloud surfing swan. Each princess wears a special new gown that sparkles with hundreds of gemlike sequins.

Before the giant swan are ballerinas performing, appropriately enough, what seems to be an interpretation of Swan Lake. Close behind the float all seven of Snow White's dwarfs and a pair of Cinderella's helpful mice dance around.
