DL Guide - Policies

Disneyland has certain policies guests should follow. Some are listed below. For any questions or further clarification, please call Disneyland directly at (714) 781-7290.

General Rules

• In general, outside food and drink are not permitted inside the parks. They can be stored in lockers outside the park.
• Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times
• Clothing with obscene language or images is not permitted
• While photography and videotaping are permitted in all attractions unless otherwise announced, flash pictures and video lighting are generally not permitted inside attractions.
• Eating and drinking are not permitted in attractions unless otherwise mentioned.
• If you leave Disneyland and plan to return, get a hand stamp as you exit. Be sure to hold on to your ticket as well. The ticket and handstamp will be required for reentry.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside the theme parks except in designated areas:

Disneyland

• At the north end of Main Street in the Plaza Pavilion seating area
• In New Orleans Square between the Haunted Mansion and the Train Station
• In Frontierland along Big Thunder Trail - the walkway between Fantasyland and Frontierland.

Disney's California Adventure

• In Hollywood near Hollywood and Dine and Superstar Limo
• In Condor Flats opposite Soarin' Over California
• In Paradise Pier near the Sun Wheel
• In the Grizzly River Recreational Area beneath Grizzly River Run

Smoking is generally permitted in the outdoor areas of Downtown Disney and the hotels. Smoking is not permitted inside restaurants in California. Smoking in outdoor seating areas of restaurants is dependant on the restaurant.

Height Requirements
Some attractions at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure have height and/or age requirements.

Disneyland

• Minimum height
  • Autopia (minimum 52 inches to ride alone. No minimum for riding with an adult)
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (minimum 40 inches to ride)
  • Gadget's Go Coaster (minimum 35 inches to ride)
  • Indiana Jones Adventure (minimum 46 inches to ride)
  • Matterhorn Bobsleds (minimum 35 inches to ride)
  • Space Mountain (minimum 40 inches to ride)
  • Splash Mountain (minimum 40 inches to ride)
  • Star Tours (minimum 40 inches to ride)
• One attraction has a maximum height restriction
  • Goofy's Bounce House (maximum 52 inches. minimum 3 years old)

Disney's California Adventure

• Minimum height
  • California Screamin' (minimum 48 inches to ride)
  • Grizzly River Run (minimum 42 inches to ride)
  • Jumpin' Jellyfish (minimum 40 inches to ride)
  • Maliboomer (minimum 52 inches to ride)
  • Mulholland Madness (minimum 42 inches to ride)
  • Orange Stinger (minimum 48 inches to ride)
  • Soarin' Over California (minimum 40 inches to ride)
  • Tuck and Roll's Drive 'Em Buggies (minimum for driver: 48 inches. minimum for passenger: 42 inches)
