Walt Disney's 100th Birthday
Wednesday, December 5th would have been Walt Disney's 100th birthday. The occasion will be marked by celebrations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World as Disney fans honor the man who really started it all. Below is guide to some of the celebrations on December 5th and beyond as well as links to references that may help you learn more about one of the greatest entertainers to ever live.
Disneyland
A rededication of the Walt and Mickey "Partner's" statue, the opening of the
"One Man's Dream" film are the highlight of the celebration at Disneyland and
new merchandise.

Disney World
Walt Disney World has been celebrating "100 Years of Magic" since October 1st
and will continue celebrating throughout 2002. Each park has a new parade, Disney-MGM
Studios has the "One Man's Dream" exhibit and there's much more around the
Resort.
Elsewhere
Not all celebrations are being put on by Disney. Carolwood, The Academy of Motion Picture
Arts and Scienes and the Disneyana Fun Fair all have events centered on the occasion.

The Disney Store is celebrating "100 Years of Dreams" by releasing up to eight
pins every week from September 22 to December 15, 2001. A total of 100 pins will be
released.
