A Message From Our President

In Florida our charity is Give Kids The World (GKTW), and I just heard yesterday from John Frost that the NFFC was able to donate enough money to have a new Villa dedicated to Disney fans! GKTW is expanding by 90 villas so 52 families per villa will be able to come enjoy Central Florida attractions each year. Over the Florida Convention weekend, we raised over $14,600! Thank you for your generous donations. You all have such kind hearts and mine is filled with joy, as I am very touched by you and your kindness. This year, in addition to other very fine people, we welcomed Vice President of Magic Kingdom Phil Holmes and Vice President of EPCOT Jim MacPhee in addition to the Vice President of Buena Vista Construction, Greg Ruse. We were very honored to have their presence, and I hope they had a wonderful time at our Part of Their World dinner as they got a peek into our organization.

As you probably have read, we honored 4 more NFFC Disney Legends: Gretta Verity, Phil Smith, Jess Rubio, and Hank Dains (posthumously). Our Walt Disney World legends are so grateful that we recognize and respect the magic that they created in their careers! As our previous year honorees come together annually now, these talented individuals sense some of the magic of the NFFC. We really are a very unique organization and our Legends genuinely appreciate you.

Again, thank you all. The Florida Planning Committee meets right away to read over the evaluation forms and blue sky plan for 2009. We hope you can join us. Thank you to Karl & Nancy Yamauchi, Bob Woodham, Mike Tuchman, David Schiller, Greg & Mary Denaro, Barbara, Schneid, Marge Hudec, Amy Steinbeck, Alex Maher, Ellen Petrokiewicz, the National Board, and our volunteers from the World Chapter for another successful event!
