Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Rob Thomas poses with Santa Goofy Nov. 24, 2007 in Santa's Sleigh at the Magic Kingdom theme park in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Thomas, a solo artist and lead singer of the multi-platinum-selling rock/pop group "matchbox twenty," was on vacation with friends and family at Walt Disney World Resort during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Thomas and "matchbox twenty" kick off their 33-city concert tour on Jan. 25, 2008. The band's current single, "How Far We've Come," is #15 this week on "Billboard" magazine's "Hot 100" chart and peaked at #3 on the "Hot Digital Tracks" chart.

Basketball greats Dick Vitale (left) and Darryl Dawkins (right) meet Dec. 15, 2007 at the Magic Kingdom park in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. while they were vacationing with their respective families. Vitale, a former collegiate and NBA coach with the University of Detroit and the Detroit Pistons, has been a college basketball analyst for ESPN since 1979. Dawkins, who gained worldwide fame for his dunking ability and for breaking backboards with his powerful dunks, played for four teams in his NBA career -- the 76ers, New Jersey Nets, Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons. He and Vitale were on separate vacations with their families at Walt Disney World this weekend when two met. Both have strong ties to central Florida; Vitale lives near Tampa, Fla. and is a member of the Florida Sports Hall of Fame, and Dawkins attended Maynard Evans High School in Orlando, Fla. He went straight from high school to the NBA when he was drafted by the 76ers in 1975.
