World of Disney will be the second largest Disney shopping experience on Earth (second only to its sister store in Florida at Walt Disney World Resort). It will be the centerpiece of Downtown Disney in Southern California. This 40,000 square foot shopping palace will feature favorite Disney character merchandise in a coiorful environment that includes:

• A 20-foot high wall of plush featuring more than 15,000 character toys.
  
• Nostalgic airships will dangle above store entrances and inside the store--each piloted by a different Disney character such as Donald in his flying egg and Jasmine and Aladdin on the magic carpet.
  
• Colorful murals that carry the theme of "travel", with famous Disney characters venturing to adventurous spots around the world including Mickey and Minnie Mouse on safari and Lady and the Tramp sharing a plate of spaghetti in Italy.
  
• A giant video screen will play scenes from classic Disney films.
  
• Disney-themed areas will each tell their own story based on a classic Disney film. Characters from The Lion King will add adventure to the men's apparel department and Disney villains that lurk in the murals and decor of the jewelry and watch department.
  
• A huge collection of Disney character merchandise including backpacks, books, boxers, children's apparel, clocks, collectibles, costumes, dolls, figurines, gifts, hats, jewelry, luggage, photo albums, plush toys, sleepwear, slippers, socks, souvenirs, stationery, sunglasses, sweatshirts, T-shirts, ties, videos, watches, and more.
