Pin Trading by the Pond Pins and Collectibles Show and Sale
June 26 - 27, 2004 in Dayton, Ohio

You are invited to the first Disneyana Pins and Collectibles Show & Sale, hosted by Collectible Memories, a 2 day event June 26 - 27, 2004 entitled “Pin Trading by the Pond�?! An event itinerary is listed below.

Highlights of the event will include:

  • Drawings and Prizes will be given away throughout the day

  • A Special Commemorative pin has already been designed and received for all guests to purchase or trade, and is a gift to all dealers and sponsors.

  • Saturday already has several Games and Events for guests to play and win Prizes and event pins – including Pin, Lose, or Draw & Pin Trivia

  • A Giant Pin Trading Board filled with over 300 pins for guests to freely trade with.

Due to the OVERWHELMING response, Saturday's pin trading activities have been RELOCATED to the Town & Country Mall located at the corner of Far Hills Avenue and Stroop in the 10,000 square foot space previously used by the Zany Brainy Toy Store. Traders are coming from many states, including California, Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota, even from Toronto, Canada. There will be over 40 eight foot tables and nearly 100 chairs for traders to use, plus plenty of space to spread out on the carpeted floor.

All traders will still have an opportunity to visit the pond at the home of Tom Tumbusch, President of Tomart, the publisher of the Disneyana Update Magazine and the Pin Trading Guide. At this time, traders are being asked PLEASE DO NOT GO TO TOM'S HOUSE on their own. Instead, throughout the day, groups of 25 traders will sign up and periodically be given an opportunity to go down the street to Tom's house and pin trade with his special board of pins out by the huge pond, fish and froggies and lillies and all. Everyone will have an opportunity to trade with Tom and then come back to the mall. We are hoping that the mall will allow us to stay well into the evening.

Marion's Piazza, Dayton's best pizza restaurant, has a location in the parking lot outside and adjacent to the mall and has donated 300 coupons good for 25% off any pizza! This will allow traders to have lunch and/or dinner at a great price just a few hundred yards away and there is plenty of space inside to take your pins and spread out. The mall also has at least 3 other restaurants to choose from.

Snacks will be provided at the mall pin trading location as noted in the itinerary.

Every trader will get a welcome bag! We will have lanyards for everyone with laminated itineraries to hang on them.

On Sunday, for the show and sale, StepUpDJ Auctions is donating Disneyland VIP pins to the first 50 guests! Pin trading will continue all day on Sunday at the mall location in a special pin trading area with a special pin trading board.

For information on becoming a dealer for the Sunday show, please contact Collectible Memories ASAP. There are only a few left! Dealers will have access by 8am according to mall security.

Hampton Inn South has been designated as the official hotel for Pin Trading by the Pond. It is located at 8099 Old Yankee Street at exit #2 off I-675, just one exit south of the one for the event and less than 10 minutes away. If you mention the event, then you will qualify for a special rate. Rooms are going fast. If we get 10 rooms reserved by pin traders, then the hotel will provide a complimentary hospitality suite for late night trading! The telephone number is 937-436-3700.
