LPWire: Tales from the Laughing Place Magazine for Disney Fans Now On Sale

Tales from the Laughing Place Now Available

Beginning Friday December 17 2004, guests can enroll as Charter Friends to Tales from the Laughing Place: The LaughingPlace.com Magazine. Tales from the Laughing Place (“TfLP?) is a quarterly release with the first issue due to hit newsstands early in January 2005. In close co-operation with Laughing Place owners, Doobie and Rebekah Moseley, the editorial team intend to provide a fresh take on Disney and an innovative design element to the periodical.

“This project has been a dream of ours for many years. The concept was first considered over two years ago, when all four of us were talking about the future of the printed word with the continuing rise of the internet. We all reached the same conclusion: firstly, that there was a huge untapped market for a magazine for Disney enthusiasts that had a different focus than the Disney Magazine and offered information about the parks that was not covered and secondly, that the public’s appetite for the medium was still growing. This is an excellent opportunity for us to develop the Laughing Place brand further and allow our readers to take Laughing Place with them wherever they travel? remarked Doobie Moseley, owner of the Laughing Place website. “In addition, I cannot imagine being able to collaborate with any other partners than our close friends, Lee & Lindsay?.

Subscriptions will cost $34 including free shipping for 4 issues. Also, individual issues will be available at $8.50 (subject to shipping charges). In addition, Charter Friends will receive a collectible limited edition cloisonné pin with their first issue as a token of our gratitude. The first issue will encompass coverage of the Disneyland 50th Anniversary announcement ceremony, the inauguration of The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror at Disney's California Adventure, the World Premier of Mary Poppins the musical in London and a host of other news and features from across the Disney family. "During 2005, we are also hoping to be able to offer online content exclusively for our subscribers that will include further photographic images from Lindsay Cave and other special offerings." said Publisher, Lee J. MacDonald. "We look forward to welcome our first readers as Charter Friends!"
