On Friday morning, April 26th, a ceremony was held prior to Disneyland's opening to dedicate Jim Cora's Window on Main Street.

Jim Cora retired late last year after a 43-year career with The Walt Disney Company. His last position was Chairman of Disneyland International. Cora's career began at Disneyland in 1957 as an hourly Cast Member. Over the next 20 years, he held positions at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World in supervisory and managerial roles with increasing responsibility.

In 1979, he was named director of operations for the Tokyo Disneyland project. In 1982, Cora was promoted to Vice-President, Walt Disney Productions Japan, and relocated to Tokyo, where he was instrumental in providing ongoing support and advice to Oriental Land Company Ltd., owner and operator of the Tokyo Disney Resort.

Between 1982 and 1992, Cora worked on master planning and site research for Disneyland Paris, eventually becoming executive vice president and chief operating officer of Disneyland Paris.

In 1992, Cora was named president of Disneyland International, with responsibility for the development and creative direction of Tokyo Disneyland, as well as the development of Tokyo DisneySea, which opened Sept. 4, 2001.

In 1999 Cora was promoted to Chairman of Disneyland International.

Following is a complete transcript of the ceremony as well as a photos and a series of video clips that together comprise the entire ceremony.
