Would you like to say a few words? Yes, I thought so.

Well, first, thanks everyone for coming out with the threat of rain and more
people came out than I thought would be here so thanks for that. Paul, if I knew
you cared that much about me, I wouldn’t have retired. (laughs) I’d have
been asking for more money and longer vacations. I wonder if I can go back and
bridge my retirement gap.

This is great! This is an honor. When I started, I actually started in the Spring of 1957. And I’d never been to Disneyland before then. I came out with a college fraternity brother who wanted to get a summer job, I didn’t even want to work I’d just gotten out of the Army. The personnel department needed people desperately, so obviously they hired me. They actually talked me into taking the job. Just do it for the summer. Well that summer became the following Christmas, and I really liked it here. And I thought this is something! I actually felt guilty for a couple of years getting a paycheck I was having so much fun. I never would have dreamed as I walked down Main Street and I saw the names, lots of whom I had worked with, that my name would ever be on a window. And it still boggles my mind. I’m boggled this morning by such an honor and I’m very, very appreciative. I’m going to keep this short for two reasons, the rain and secondly, the park’s going to open at 8:30. So thank you very much and thanks all for coming.

It’s a tremendous tribute and I guess you’re the only person who actually has a
window in every one of our parks.
I think we actually have some other surprise I’m supposed to do so - yes, Mickey?
(Mickey escorts Cora. Cora yells "They're taking me to a barbershop")
(turns to the band) if you please.
The band begins to play When You Wish Upon a Star. A singer comes out to sing it in English. She's then joined by Goofy and switches to French. Minnie in a kimono then joins her and she switches to Japanese. Finally, Pluto and Donald come out as well as she finishes in English.
